New hairstyle!

So I wanted to try something new, but not sure about it yet. Lance says he loves it (right answer!), but he never did like it short and straight before though.
Was wanting something easy to take care of this summer with softball games outside. The last hairstyle I had took to much time and did not do well with wind (which we always have in good ole' Nebraska!)
A little curly in the back for me, but hopefully it will tame down soon!
I'm a little squinty here =)

Wearin' my all time favorite jacket from Italy!!!!! That was a trip of a lifetime (but that's another post!)

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think! Be honest, I can still cut it all off :)

Tristin turns 13!

My little guy turned 13 last week! Can't believe he is a teenager now! He made sure we knew he could get a car in 2 years....hmmmm....we said 3, he doesn't get one with a learners permit. He can dream though! Tristin and Chasey both spent the weekend at their Dad's in Kearney for Tristin's Birthday. They both got to invite a friend though and went to the hockey games! They all had a good time! Here are some pics from his Birthday supper at Carlos O'Kellys (his choice!).
Never to old to get a big SMOOCH from Grandma!!!!!

Something's Fishy this month!

I'm really not a big fan of fishing myself.... but I absolutely adore the Stamp of the Month for April! Check out the artwork that we will be doing at my parties this month:

I used the waterbrush with matching inkpads to color the fish! That was a lot of fun, felt like I was a kid again playing with water colors!!!
How cute is this, too! Using a photo clip and ribbon to make a lil' fishy!!!

I also did a lot of distressing on this layout. Direct to paper, sponging, & ripping.
These layouts do have pictures of my ex (he was the fisherman, not me) but they are going in the kid's albums, so gotta do those layouts sometime!

I have one date left in April, if you want to get a few friends together and scrap this layout!

Operation Smile Goal

$240 is all it takes to make a difference for one child! This is what my clubs, parties, and workshops have raised so far this year:

You Can Help a Child Smile—for a Lifetime!

Close To My Heart invites you to join with us in supporting Operation Smile®, a non-profit organization whose medical volunteers travel the globe correcting facial deformities in thousands of children. There are several ways you can help in this worthy, life-changing endeavor:
• Round up your order total to the nearest dollar and donate the difference.
• Purchase My Acrylix® stamp sets. Close To My Heart donates a portion of the proceeds from every stamp set sold.
• Donate your loose change, or make a contribution of any size.
Close To My Heart is committed to making a meaningful difference in people’s lives—and not only through the joys of scrapbooking and stamping. We want every child to have happy, life-long memories; ones filled with joy, acceptance, and love, unmarred by a cleft palate or cleft lip. We have raised our annual contribution commitment this year to $150,000 for Operation Smile—that’s nearly 600 surgeries, an entire schoolyard of miracles! Please open your heart
and help us make a diff erence.
